Tweaked Cyanobacteria to Produce a Plastic Precursor
We have known for awhile that algae can make ethanol and scientists have genetically modified algae to produce more. Now the trick for them is to come up with a reliable commercial process to get the idea growing. This is a really nice informative article and it is always fun to read what people are doing with algae. I wonder how much progress they have made. It has been almost a year since this was published.
